U Gel (30 g carbohydrates) is a 50-ml liquid gel with a carbohydrate composition of glucose (maltodextrin) and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio. Each gel provides 30 g of carbohydrates as well as electrolytes. Flavors marked with a + sign contain caffeine. This rule applies across our entire product line; for this product, the Wild Berry and Black Currant flavors each contain 30 mg of caffeine.
The gel has a runny consistency, which means it is not necessary to drink water when consuming it. The gel contains all four major electrolytes lost through sweating (sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium) in a well-balanced amount.
Packaged in a convenient pouch sized to fit easily into both bike pockets and running tights. The plastic tab remains attached to the pouch even after opening, which minimizes plastic waste in the environment.
