Welcome to Amfibiemannen—one of the world’s oldest swimrun races. Since its debut in 2010, the race has offered a technical, scenic, and classic swimrun experience in Stockholm’s outer archipelago. In 2026, the race returns in a sprint format covering 15.5 km.

Race Center

The race center is located at Arholma Nord. It’s a pleasant 10–15-minute walk (1.5 km) from Arholma Handel, where the boat docks.

Course

Total length
15.5 km

  • approximately 13 km running
  • approximately 2.5 km of swimming

The course passes through some of the most spectacular settings in the Stockholm archipelago, including:

  • Arholma Lighthouse
  • Arholma Fort
  • Smooth granite slabs
  • Undulating trail paths
  • Gravel roads
  • Open sea inlets

The terrain is technical in some sections and requires caution.

Always follow:

  • markings
  • arrows
  • instructions from officials.


Note: The course may change depending on the weather; the final course layout will be announced at the pre-race briefing.

Required Equipment

Each participant must wear the required equipment throughout the entire race.

Team

Teams compete together.

  • Maximum 10 meters between teammates.
  • Please help each other.
  • No one should be left alone on the course.

Solo

Solo follows the same rules as the team classes but completes the race individually.



Safety

Safety always comes first.

In case of problems:

  • contact the nearest official
  • or a safety kayak/SUP
  • or safety boat.

If you withdraw from the race, you must always notify an official.

Never leave the course without reporting it.


Insurance & Participation

Participation is at your own risk. The organizer has not taken out accident insurance. It is each participant’s responsibility to ensure that they are insured for:


Hydration Stations

Refreshments are available at two locations along the course.

Never litter in nature.


Max time

The time limit will be announced during the pre-race briefing.

If a checkpoint is passed after the time limit, the organizer may, for safety reasons, shorten the course or disqualify the participant.

 

Expo

A selection of Wolffwear products and energy drinks from UMARA will be available at the Expo.



Nature

We are competing in a sensitive nature and cultural reserve.

Please be considerate.

  • Follow the marked course.
  • Do not litter.
  • Respect animals, landowners, and residents.
