Swim & Hike Gotland 2026 - An adventure born from a dream
In the summer of 2025, Karl Palmqvist swam around the entire island of Gotland - a magical, beautiful and at the same time brutally challenging journey, supported by Wolffwear and Orca, among others.Now, together with Gotland's own swim profile and pathfinder Tony, he opens the door for you to experience some of the finest parts of this iconic coast. Together they have handpicked Gotland's most spectacular stretches of coastline and we have created a unique Swim & Hike event where you meet Gotland both at sea and on land - in a way few ever get the opportunity to do.
In addition to the swims, hikes, nature experiences and community, it will be a memorable dining experience where we are invited to Gotland delicacies!

During three intense days you will:

- Hike parts of the dramatic Klintkustleden trail
- Experience a nature that is wild, quiet and unforgettable
Program - Swim & Hike Gotland
Day 1 - Departure Nynäshamn
08.30 Gathering in Nynäshamn
09.25 The ferry departs for Visby (arrive Visby 12.45)
Upon arrival, minibuses are ready for travel to Lickershamn Holiday Village where we install ourselves in the cottages.
17.30-19.00 - Evening swim: Jungfrun - Lickershamn
We start the weekend with a unique evening swim along one of Gotland's most mythical coastlines.
Jungfrun, Gotland's highest rauk at 27 meters, carries an old legend about Öllegard and Helge - a story that is still told in the Jungfruspelet played at Lickershamn's beach.
For those who do not want to swim:
You can walk the same distance along the trail or combine walking and swimming.
Swimming distance depending on how far you want to swim 1000-3000 m

20.30 Review of the weekend's organization
Day 2 - Sea, cliffs and Gotland's raw beauty
07.00-08.00 Breakfast - Included in the price.
09.15 Departure to Ihreviken beach bath in Minibuses
Today's adventure:
- Swim from Ihreviken to Häftings/Häftingstadar fishing village Swimming distance Approx 3500- 4500 m
- Lunch/barbecue at Svart häl - Included in the price.
- Hike back along Klintkustleden with views of the sea and cliffs Hike about 5 km
- Minibus back to Lickershamn cottage village
- 19.00 Dinner Krysmyntagården, this is a legendary barbecue buffet (value SEK 595) on a genuine Gotland farm where we enjoy the finest view and sunset in the sea in addition to the food.
- 21.00 Return to the cottages
Day 3 - The final along the cliffs

Hike about 6 km
Swim back to Lickershamn and Jungfrun Nature Reserve / Raukar
Swimming distance about 4000-5500 m (Possible to shorten the swim if you want and walk back). We will make shorter stops during the swim to gather the group.

Klintkustleden - Gotland's wild heart
Klintkustleden is one of Sweden's most dramatic coastal trails. Here you walk along high cliffs, through silent forests and past rugged fields shaped by wind, sea and time.
The view of the Baltic Sea is miles wide and sometimes it feels like the sky and the sea come together.
Accommodation - Lickershamn Holiday Village
We stay in cottages in Lickershamn, one of Gotland's most scenic bays. Here you will find:
A genuine fishing villageHarbor restaurant and fish stall
A small sandy beach
Large rauk areas
The Maiden, the mighty rauk that watches over the bay
It's a place that combines adventure during the day with peace and quiet in the evening.
Gotland - Where nature does the work
Gotland is like a world of its own. The clear water, limestone cliffs, rauks and endless horizons create a landscape that both moves and inspires.
There is a stillness and light here that makes every experience greater.
An adventure you'll never forget
Swim & Hike Gotland is more than a training camp.
It is three days of nature experiences, community, sea, hiking and presence. An adventure you will carry with you for a long time and which may be the start of something even greater.

Available to rent for 395 SEK or buy at a discounted price.
Prerequisites:
You should feel confident in open water and be able to swim 4-5km.
You should have a swimming speed in OW of about 30 min per km.
Insurance:
Please check your insurance cover before departure.
Payment:
You can choose to pay the whole trip at once or a deposit of 1000 kr when booking and the remaining 60 days before departure.
Cancellation:
20 days open purchase under the Distance Selling Act. Review what is included in your insurance in case of, for example, accident, injury, etc. or buy at cancellation protection.
Maximum number of participants:
20 plus leaders and guides
Equipment:
Swimsuit (long), clothes and shoes for hiking, sun protection etc.
