U Gel 1: 0.8 is a 50ml liquid gel with a carbohydrate composition between glucose (maltodextrin) and fructose at 1: 0.8, which research proved to be an optimal ratio of fast and slow carbohydrates.
When ingested at 70g of carbohydrates / hour or over, this composition is both the nicest to the stomach and the fastest when it comes to energy absorption. You can consume up to 4 gels per hour, giving 120g of carbohydrates per hour. A lot of fuel for a hard-working engine. But the recommended dosage is 2-3 gels per hour, which gives 60-90g of carbohydrates per hour.
The gel is easily flowing, so you do not need to drink water in conjunction with the ingag.
